It's been a very long time since the site has been updated (shame on us), but there's a very good reason for it I promise.  We've been busy recording amazing new albums with our artists!  New singles from Primal Scream and The Automatic will be hitting the airwaves soon so keep an ear out for them.  Both are storming tracks that you're guaranteed to love...and I'm not just saying that because I have to, it's a fact.  Those singles will be followed by new albums from both bands later this summer.

On The Automatic front we have some new dates in for a September / October tour so check out the gig section for full details.

We've got a couple of singles coming up so get ready!

"Love's Not A Competition (But I'm Winning)" by the Kaiser Chiefs is out on November 12th.  It will be a collectable 7" gatefold vinyl and includes a cover of "Everything Is Average Nowadays" done by The Little Ones.  The single will be sold exclusively via pre-order direct to the fans or on the road during the band's UK arena tour (see tour section for dates). 

The next single from The Twang, "Push The Ghosts", will follow on November 19th.  It's a storming track and will be available on CD, 7" vinyl, 7" picture disc vinyl and download. 

We're a bit late in posting this on the site seeing as it happened a week ago, but the Kaiser Chiefs scooped the Q "Best Video" Award for "Ruby".  Congrats!

"Two Lovers" is The Twang's latest single offering and is out August 27th.  The single is available on CD, Maxi CD and 7" all with exclusive b-sides.  The Maxi CD includes the "Two Lovers" video featuring Danny Dyer and Jamie Winstone.  

You can buy all three formats for £5 at www.recordstore.co.uk and the 7" will be signed by the band.  Don't miss out!  

The next single from Alterkicks "The Cannibal Hiking Disaster" will be available for download only from August 20th. 

The single, with its dark theme, is accompanied by an amazing video that can be watched at www.thecannibalhikingdisaster.co.uk.  The video was shot by Andreas Nillson who has previously worked with Goldfrapp, The Knife and Depeche Mode amongst others.  It draws us into a Grimm Brothers world of snowstorms, tangled forests and deathly imagery, the sharp eyed will notice harbingers of doom from the off. 

Following the download single release is Alterkicks' debut album 'Do Everything I Taught You' on August 27th.  The brilliantly written album, produced and mixed by Stephen Street, includes the past singles, ‘On A Holiday’ and ‘Good Luck’ alongside forthcoming ‘The Cannibal Hiking Disaster’.   Make sure you check it out!

The new Kaiser Chiefs single, "The Angry Mob", is out August 20th for your listening pleasure.  There will be 3 physical formats for you to collect all with exclusive b-sides. 

One of the formats is a very limited poster-bag 7" single, which will only be available at the band's webstore via www.kaiserchiefs.co.uk.  The poster-bag foldout is the only place you'll be able to see the full Kaiser Chiefs/Beano comic strip and an exclusive illustration of "Yours Truly, Angry Mob".  This format comes with the 'Off The Streets' remix of "The Angry Mob" as the b-side.  Make sure you pre-order your copy today!

Last Monday marked the first date of Rex Radio's residency at the Old Blue Last in London.  They played to a packed room and stormed through a set that included "Flashboy", "Boys & Girls" and "Round The Bend" amongst other new tracks.

They are currently on tour and have been traversing the country with Larrikin Love for the last three weeks. With only a few days to recuperate after that tour they go back on the road with fellow B-Uniquers The Automatic in October and November. Not long after they wrap touring with The Automatic, Alterkicks have a single coming out November 13th. "On A Holiday" will be their debut single on B-Unique and has received an amazing reaction from the crowds on the tour so far. Babyshambles and friends have recorded a cover of The Clash's "Janie Jones" for the Strummerville charity (www.strummerville.com) to be released October 30th on CD and 7". The single features an amazing cast of 22 artists (in alphabetical oder): Babyshambles, Cazals, Dirty Pretty Things, Goodbooks, Guillemots, The Holloways, Jack Penate, Jamie T, Jeremy Warmsley, Kid Harpoon, The Kooks, Ladyfuzz, Larrikin Love, Laura Marling, Light Speed Champ, Lisa Moorish, Macabees, Mystery Jets, Noisettes, The Paddingtons, The Rakes, We Are Scientists.  The 7" single includes a remix of "Janie Jones (Strummerville)" produced by Statik and features the vocal styling of Lethal Bizzle, JME, No Mind and Talk Taxis.
Following the untimely passing of Joe Strummer his friends and family set up the Strummerville charity as a foundation for the production of new music.  The main aim of the charity is to provide rehearsal space and studio time to individuals, groups and organisations to enable the productions of music by creative people who would otherwise not have the necessary funds to do so.
