It all started at Glastonbury 2000.

A huge gaggle of Liverpool's musical mischief makers headed down to Glastonbury to drop acid and watch the sunrise at the stone circle. Amongst them were Gary Murphy, his old school mate Scott, John Robinson ( vocalist who'd just spent a lengthy period "writing songs on the beach in the West Indies") and Tony Donne chief of organs and keyboards.

An electric buzz throughout Liverpool ensued after several mind blowing shows - which led to them signing with B-Unique and recording their debut album with producer John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead).

The Bandits only released one album on B-Unique in 2003, but what an album it is. Packed full of rabble rousing choruses, Zeppelin-esque rock and blues and roots influenced melodies. For key listening check out 'The Warning' 'Take It And Run' and 'Numbers'

Since disbanding in 2004 most band members are still working on separate projects, it's probably safe to say this won't be the last the world hears from the Bandits camp.
