Celebrating 25 years, B-unique is one of the UK’s leading independent music companies.

The label declared its arrival in 2001 with the signing of both US and UK artists such as Alkaline Trio, Aqualung, Hot Hot Heat, The Ordinary Boys and The Bandits. Chart success was already achieved before the signing of Kaiser Chiefs took the label into new territory. Releasing one of the biggest selling debut albums of all time in the UK, Kaiser Chiefs had a flurry of huge hits with songs such as I predict a riot, Ruby, Everyday I love you less and less, Never miss a beat, Oh my god and Modern way.

Then Primal Scream, The Twang, Seafret and Kodaline all joined the label and brought major successes over the following years.

B-unique publishing launched in 2011 and quickly signed such notable artists as James Bay, John Newman, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Lightning seeds, Kodaline, Seafret, Miles Kane, Tiggs Da author, JC Stewart, and Belle and Sebastian. They were joined by songwriters including Johnny Mcdaid, Jonny Coffer, Jon Maguire, Corey Sanders, Jon Shave, Robert Harvey, Punctual, Lewis Thompson and Luke Sital-Singh.

Now, exciting Irish artist Kingfishr are spearheading a new wave of B-unique success, and signings like Benjamin Steer, Dave Lofts and Iona Luke are also on the rise.

After 25 years and over 30 million albums sold, including 12 songs to have streamed over a billion, there is still much more to come, and B-unique remains as steadfastly motivated as ever to achieving success for its artists.
